Charging by the hour doesn’t work for businesses like yours. So we don’t. All our pricing is agreed upfront. No surprise bills. Transparent and predictable pricing every step of the way.
You’ll pay a fixed fee, not for how long it takes us to do the work.
1. Fixed fee for a fixed scope of work
If you’ve purchased an On Your Terms legal document and have a quick legal question, would like your document reviewed by a lawyer, or drafting changes recommended, Luminate Legal’s fixed fee packages offer a streamlined, personalised and cost-effective solution.

For your business-as-usual legal needs with a regular monthly payment that includes unlimited access to On Your Terms’ comprehensive suite of customisable NZ-lawyer made legal documents, tools and resources, together with the peace of mind of ongoing expert legal support at your finger tips if you need it for quick questions.
Fixed Fee Services
1) Phone a Lawyer Service
Get answers to simple, quick, ad hoc questions about a legal document you’re creating (or have created) on the On Your Terms platform. Or perhaps you just want to check you’ve correctly answered the questions, or that a particular document is the right one for your business needs. Book a time that suits you.
$200 (+GST)

Maximum of 30 min phone/video call with Luminate Legal lawyer.
Verbal discussion only.

Calls do not include reviewing documents, emails or drafting.
No employment agreements or policies.
Questions must relate to documents purchased through On Your Terms.

This is a fixed price for the agreed scope described above in ‘What’s included’ and excludes the ‘Exclusions’ above. Payment must be made in advance of services, by credit card or direct debit.
This fee is non-refundable (subject to our legal obligations).

2) Simple Contract Review
Review of a commercial contract you’ve purchased through On Your Terms to spot key issues with how you have answered questions, any major issues or risks unique to your business, and advice on extra tailoring needed for your business needs. Book a time that suits you to discuss.
$350 (+GST)

Initial phone consult (20 mins), legal review of the contract, high level written comments on major issues and areas to edit, phone consult to explain comments (15 mins).
For contracts purchased through On Your Terms only.

Contracts over 8 pages long.
Shareholders’ Agreement (and Shareholders’ Agreement and Constitution Bundle and Shareholders’ Agreement Term Sheet), Software Agreement, Agreements for Sale and Purchase of Business or Shares (and term sheets for the sale and purchase of business or shares).
No dependencies on other contracts (unless part of a bundle).
No negotiations.
No partial review.
No drafting changes recommended unless Optional Add-On selected.

Review of complex contract you’ve purchased through On Your Terms contract to spot key issues with how you have answered questions, any major issues or risks unique to your business, and advice on additional customisation. Book a time that suits you to discuss.
$750 (+GST)

Designed for all Sale and Purchase Agreements, Term Sheets, Shareholders’ Agreement, Software Agreement, where multiple contract customisations are needed, or contracts over 8 pages.
For contracts purchased through On Your Terms only.

No more than 3 parties to the contract.

Employment matters, litigation, personal legal matters, insolvency and debt collection, construction and property transactions, regulatory advice, tax.

Minimum term of 12 months

We will invoice you quarterly in advance, payment must be made by credit card or direct debit.
Subject to our legal obligations, the quarterly payments are not refundable.
If you cancel your plan during the 12 month term, you will still need to pay the remaining quarterly payments.
